Information You Send
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the information you include so we can respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services create routine logs, including an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time of access. We review aggregated information to operate and improve the service. Cookies or comparable tools can support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
The limited data described here is used to run the service, address technical issues, measure traffic, and improve the reference material. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual user profiles.
External Services
Links lead to government portals, archives, libraries, and third-party search providers. Their own privacy terms govern information submitted on their services, including sponsored-result tools. Mission Residents Directory does not control their practices.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers may process ordinary server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it and not otherwise.
Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no Mission Residents Directory accounts, passwords, or visitor profiles to maintain.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information, and it will be removed.
Texas Privacy Rights
Depending on where a visitor lives, there may be rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information held by a service. Texas's current data-broker law is Business and Commerce Code Chapter 510. Because this reference keeps very little visitor information, a request generally concerns the contact mailbox and server logs. Send a request through the Contact page. Government records held by Mission, Hidalgo County, or Texas custodians are outside our control and must be addressed to the agency that keeps them.
Policy Changes
Any revision will be posted here. Continued use after publication of a revised policy indicates acceptance of that version.
